Season’s greetings from MOP Environmental Solutions, Inc.!

This letter is intended to provide a bit of an update on the comings and goings at MOP. In the month and a half since Charlie Diamond’s passing we have been putting our best effort forward to make the transition to a new leadership team, while at the same time anticipating the addition of other members of the MOP team that can help us expand our sales and the mission of MOP.

All of this has happened in an atmosphere where our ability to communicate has been hobbled by two important realities:

1. The 15c2-11 process that moves MOP to a higher reporting level where shareholder value is enhanced by a higher number of Market Makers and a higher level of transparency ostensibly generating enhanced public confidence. Ironically, the effort to become more transparent requires a “low-transparency” process that minimizes the amount of reported news (each of which generates added questions from FNRA ).

2. Attempts to reconstruct as much of Charlie Diamond’s historic knowledge of the company workings as we possibly could. As you might imagine, more than four decades of knowledge about MOP and the Bath plant was bundled up inside that marvelous oversized brain of Charlie’s. Charlie kept careful records of the things that were required by law and rule so understanding those things were “just” a matter of reviewing an extensive number of notebooks. However, the more esoteric and non-statutory collections of information were not quite so simple. . . (now where did Charlie keep the combination to that safe that holds the recipe for MOP’s “secret sauce”? Who was the contractor that developed the hydro Cavitation solution with Charlie? That solution can probably yield an income stream of more than a million dollars a year for MOP!)

I’m pleased to report that we are reasonably confident that the urgent matters with respect to Charlies historic knowledge seem to have been resolved: left twice to 18, right . . . (NOW you didn’t think we were going to give you the combination did you?); Ryan Vizena helped Charlie develop the Cavitation solution and yes we think it can generate some attractive profits for MOP.

The 15c2-11process is a bit more of a challenge. We find ourselves faced with the Hobesian choice of continuing to effort the application while creating a seemingly endless process by returning to a status quo ante or imposing a news blackout, under the worst case scenario, that has a chance of resolving the process successfully. We have decided on the former. It is clear to us that keeping some level of news about the company flowing is too important to continuing confidence, even if it means that achieving the 15c2-11 status takes considerably longer. This decision represents a reversal of a “board” decision by Charles Diamond. We suspect it will not be the last.

With respect to moving ahead I would like to bring you up to date on a few of the projects that some shareholders have been enquiring about. We continue to be very optimistic about many of our international projects, though some have presented enormous challenges related to state corruption, bureaucratic shuffling and re-shuffling and the challenges imposed by a worldwide recession.

The Saudi Team is currently interviewing and negotiating with a large distribution company. Their website indicates that they are a registered trading and contracting company with the country's industry leaders such as Saudi Aramco, SABIC, Saudi Electricity Company and others. Dr. Nayfeh, president of MOP SA has told us that they will be making a decision fairly soon about representing MOP.

A total of four orders have come from MOP’s Ecuadoran Distributor and a recent conversation with President Fernando Banalcazar confirmed that he is aggressively developing his market and that he expects the New Year to bring increased sales of MOP. Banalcazar has put together a strong consortium of Oil Spill Response and product/service companies to bid on a large project. His innovative approaches give us a great deal of confidence in what lies ahead with him.

EGS continues its efforts with C-Level management of firms from Nigeria, Ghana and Guinea, West Africa, to Brazil, New Zealand and other countries. As you might imagine, working at this level takes longer but yields bigger sales over longer periods of time. Jim has expressed confidence that his efforts will yield results soon.

The purchase of the Groveton Mill remains on track and we have already had more than 5 inquiries from potential tenants and joint ventures. We are optimistic that a closing will take place during t5he month of January and then MOP will have adequate operational funds to launch an aggressive marketing effort. The Groveton location will also give us the opportunity to register MOP as a HubZone business, thus qualifying us for a 3% set aside with federal Prime Contractors and procurement agents. The funding for this project is all debt financing and will not dilute shareholder equity.

Groveton EDA grant matched by $100,000 grant from the Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund

GROVETON -- North Country Council (NCC) has announced they have received a $150,000 grant from the US Dept. of Commerce/Economic Development Administration to assist with the redevelopment effort at the former Wausau and Groveton Paperboard Mill site in Northumberland. These funds are matched by a $100,000 grant from the Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund of the NH Charitable Foundation.

The purpose of the grant is to create a public/private partnership which will lead to new businesses and new jobs at the former mill site. NCC is working closely with town officials, the current owner and potential developers of the site, all of whom have supported the concept of utilizing the assets of the site----including the buildings, the ability to create heat and power on site, the wastewater treatment facility among other site assets ---to expand an existing and growing regional industrial cluster based on using agricultural products. Supported by these grants, this next stage of development activities will include identifying products, markets and distribution plans for crops and value-added products, business plans for any parts of the site better suited to municipal or nonprofit ownership, and physical site engineering needs such as operating a co-generation facility and wastewater treatment plant. Wayne King, recently appointed CEO and President of MOP said that Diamond died peacefully at home surrounded by his family. “All of us in the MOP family are saddened by the passing of our friend and mentor Charlie but we are inspired by his life of meaning and purpose. Charlie continued to work right up to the final two weeks of his life when he gathered his company team together and initiated a well planned transition elevating Wayne King to the position of CEO, President and Chairman of the MOP corporate Board of Directors along with Reuven Rubinson as CFO and board member.

Ryan Vizena and Jerry Esposito, who head the manufacturing division of MOP, spoke fondly of The North Country Icon who rode into Bath NH on his motorcycle fresh out of college and talked his way into ownership of the Bath Hydroelectric Plant and then proceeded to use the electricity generated by that plant to invent the world’s first – and still premier – green oil spill cleanup absorbent.

“Charlie’s mind was always running in overdrive,” said Vizena. “Every day there was a new idea and a new revelation. Our task was to pay attention and make sure that we wrote down the ideas for action later on.”

Charles M. Diamond’s final act was undoubtedly his biggest – the orchestration of a Purchase and Sales agreement for the Groveton Paper Mill, intended to establish a Green Technology Manufacturing, & Research Park. The dream of the Green Technology Park will now be implemented by his friend and colleague Wayne King.

Diamond’s son Ben will serve on the board of directors of the Corporation to assure that his father’s vision is preserved, but the day to day responsibility for the company will fall to King who says that he has been schooled well by Charlie Diamond and is prepared for the challenge.

But the North Country won’t soon be able to forget Diamond and his contributions, Wayne King has announced that a lasting memorial to the Diamond family will be capitalized in Charlie’s name soon, details will be forthcoming in the near future.

The plan is to fund a Technology Education Center & Foundation at the Groveton Park said Michelle Chamberlain, Director of Budget and Logistics for MOP.

Reuven Rubinson, CFO said that the mission of the Center and Foundation would be to develop “Transformational Technologies to Save the Planet” a cause which has been Mr. Diamond’s life work. In addition Rubinson said, the company hopes to develop the Diamond Technology Training Center at the Moses Payson Mansion in Bath.

“People will long remember how Charlie Diamond literally stood between the Payson Mansion and a wrecking ball until the owner agreed to sell him the aging but grand old building,” said Kathy Martin, Executive Assistant to Mr. Diamond. Years later he repeated that moment virtually with the purchase agreement on the Groveton Mill.

A carefully considered plan of succession has been established and is set to take effect immediately. This plan includes a transition period during which Charles will become less active in decision making and daily management, stepping down from his role as president and passing the responsibilities to his successor, Wayne King as the new CEO. Steps have also been made to ensure minimal disruption to daily business operations and to maintain the vision as it was set forth by CEO Charles Diamond. Charles hopes to remain an inspiration to the future of MOP.

MOP VP Clarifies Statement to Media Regarding MOP Sales

As you know, not everything that is reported in the media is reported exactly as stated. In a recent news article, gleaned from 3 separate interviews and other stories already in the news, the reporter stated that MOP had one million in sales. I believe that I was clear in my statement that we anticipated sales in the range of one million dollars this year but it is easily understood why a reporter would simplify such a statement to make it a simple declaratory statement of fact. I apologize to anyone who felt that MOP - through me - was misrepresenting past sales, it was not intended, though it is quite possible that I was not clear enough in my statement. With three and 1/2 months remaining in the calendar year, based on on-going dialogue with prospective buyers and sales that are in some stage of closing, I continue to believe that we will see MOP sales in the range of one million dollars. In fact if all of the sales currently under negotiation were to come to fruition the results will be considerably north of that amount, though I caution shareholders and others to recognize that a 100% closing ratio is a lot like a 1000 batting average and the likelihood of getting a hit every time you step up to the plate is slim.

Company Issues The MOP CHALLENGE to the X-CHALLENGE

MOP presented an approach that we understood could exceed the 2,500 GPM performance requirement specified in their rules, together with verifiable measurement criteria at the request of X CHALLENGE (who claimed an exception might be allowable) by the Pre-Judging Review Team, but in a later meeting they persisted with a categorical rejection that a sorbent would not be considered. Our proposed solution was quick, thorough, above their criteria for recovery and worked irrespective of wave height or wind conditions, simulating ocean conditions on high seas as found in the real world.

I might point out, deploying MOP also offers the unique option of staying ahead of any spill with rapid MOP underwater deployment, while skimmers will only work after the oil is present and when set in oil that stacks up thick enough for a skimmer to pick it up. This requirement is unfortunately necessary for the skimmer to not-just pickup water.

Oil companies who never had an answer, are setting the rules of the X CHALLENGE and are not even allowing for a possible alternative to skinner technology. Their level of competence was demonstrated in the Gulf of Mexico. These “Oil Experts” that already failed to produce the answers in the Gulf, arrogantly ignore the far better prepared Europeans (such as Cedre of France who already recognize the importance of sorbent technology as the method of first choice for retrieving crude oil on the high seas.) The Shell “Oil Experts,” none of whom have yet to evaluate anything comparable to MOP, with closed minds have categorically disallowed what is arguably the best of its class sorbent technology. For this reason we pulled out of the X CHALLENGE in protest to independently demonstrate MOP under the same conditions, offers the ultimate answer for oil spill response to crude oil spills on the high seas.”

The rules that exist virtually guarantee an X CHALLENGE winner that will be unable to perform in the real life conditions of the ocean. In the ocean an oil spill is confronted with waves that are seldom only one foot, with winds of all levels and where oil spreads and seldom stacks up to an unrealistic depth of one inch. These are the unrealistic conditions used to compare the failed skimmer technology that are clearly inappropriate for the high seas. Unrealistically calm waters and oil stacked up to one inch, though unnatural for open seas, are typically used as a measure of performance criteria only for a basis of comparison among skimmers under the limited conditions skimmers can optimally operate in. These unrealistic conditions are not suitable for capture of oil spills from authentic high seas; maybe it’s ok for calm protected ocean bays, a pond, lagoon, stream or lake but definitely not applicable as an answer to address the failures of crude oil recovery from an off shore ocean based oil rig or an ocean based oil spill from an oil tanker which are the oft publicly stated goals of the X CHALLENGE.

This is only the tip of the iceberg! How and why this skewed rule adoption took place will likely become a matter of strong public concern, as will, understanding how the X CHALLENGE, under the influence of private interests, allowed this to happen. Large Middle Eastern Oil Company to Test MOP Absorbent

BATH, NH, October 8, 2010 (MARKET WIRE) – MOP Environmental Solutions, Inc. (Pinksheets: MOPN) announces one of the largest oil companies in the middle east has requested, and will be receiving, MOP 201 and MOP 301 for testing purposes. The products will be arriving within the month of October at their testing facility. Representatives of MOP Environmental Solutions have been invited to make a presentation to the oil company and the appropriate government agencies in their country subsequent to the preliminary testing.

To meet any potential rapid product demand in MOP products, an agreement is being negotiated with a large international corporation that has 15 manufacturing plants worldwide to manufacture MOP’s patented products on an exclusive basis. Samples of a small test run to demonstrate their capability have already been successfully manufactured and delivered. Representatives of the company are scheduled to visit the MOP manufacturing facility in New Hampshire within the month. A full production run is anticipated in the near future. MOP Environmental Solutions Releases June 30th, 2010 Financial Statements and Secures $750,000 per month in Credit

BATH, NH, July 28, 2010 (MARKET WIRE) – MOP Environmental Solutions, Inc. (MOPN). In an effort to provide financial disclosure to the investing public the Company has posted its June 30th, 2010 financial statements. The statements can be viewed at www.otcmarkets.com. Pink Sheets has already upgraded the Company from a “Stop” to a “Limited Information” status. The Company is now moving forward to bring the Company to “Current Information” status and hopes to do so in the coming months.

Highlights of the financial statements show that the Company had over $90,000 in cash on hand and total assets of nearly $250,000 for the period ending June 30th, 2010. In addition the Company reported that subsequent to June 30th, 2010 the Company has approximately $200,000 in available cash and accounts receivables of over $165,000.

The Company also disclosed they had entered into an agreement with Bibby Financial for receivables financing at a rate of 1.25%. We are a small company in a unique position with an unequaled, patented product. The raw material for manufacture is abundant, the need for the product is virtually unlimited, vis a vis the billions of gallons of spilled oil all over the globe that need to be cleaned up and we are the only supplier for this unique product. What we have is seemingly the ultimate formula for success.

In the past two weeks we have invoiced over $165,000 in product. We intend to proceed from here to make this company continue on an upward spiral. In an effort to provide financial disclosure to the investing public, we will be posting our June 30th, 2010 financial statements with Pink Sheets shortly upon receipt from our accountant. Madam Chair, members of the committee: My name is Charles M. Diamond. I am CEO of MOP Environmental Solutions, Inc. in Bath NH. The testimony I am about to present could be the most important you will hear regarding the ultimate control of the present Gulf Oil Spill. I believe my testimony contains the answers that will truly work to both contain the spill at its source, retrieve virtually all the oil that remains in open waters, retrieve the difficult to remove oil from the marshlands and wetlands, protect the estuaries, protect the shorelines from any oil coming in, remove any oil from oil contaminated soil, and safely remove oil from oil coated birds and animals. All this is accomplished by using a low cost product and technique that recovers the oil for reuse so
efficiently that the value of the oil can even exceed the cost of retrieval. MOP is comprised of environmentally friendly, all natural vegetable fibers treated to reject water and aggressively capture oil. The patented product that makes all this possible is ìMOP! Maximum Oil Pickup.î Its efficiency, effectiveness, low cost, and the high speed of its deployment and retrieval make MOP the ideal candidate to protect the nation from present and future oil spills both on water and on land.

Had our MOP absorbent and method of deployment been used within the first 48 hours, as I will detail for you today, we would not be sitting here discussing a spill that would have otherwise been contained from the beginning.

Let me illustrate: MOP captures and recovers up to 100,000 barrels (i.e. much higher than the estimated Gulf discharge rate) of spilled oil a day using a capital expense of merely $100,000 for deployment equipment, with under $3,000,000 in product. Add to this approximately $50,000 a day for cost of retrieval of oil valued at $5,000,000 based on $50 per barrel (currently in the range of $70/bbl) for an overall profit of up to $2,000,000, or more a day, and the value of this approach becomes distinctly apparent. The value of oil retrieved could readily exceed the costs of recovery and retrieval, leaving a possible overall net profit, or break-even, instead of the billions of dollars that have already been spent and untold extensive damage that could have been prevented.

Furthermore, dealing only with the new oil coming from the wellhead on a daily basis would be easily manageable, and the cost for containing it would have been in the millions, not the billions. Under most any circumstance, the oil would be entirely contained within a radius of 30 miles from the discharge point.

We manufacture what we believe to be the best oil spill cleanup product available: The product is built around an oil absorbent that I invented over a decade ago. It is the only cradle-to-cradle green oil spill clean up product on the market. The entire process, from creation to reuse, is completely sustainable. We manufacture MOP using all natural, environmentally safe recycled materials with electricity generated from hydroelectric power. Most notably, this unique product allows for the valuable recovery of up to 95% of the oil from the MOP sorbent for reuse.

The life cycle of MOP is one of its most extraordinary features and deserves particular attention: MOP has many environmentally beneficial disposal options such as recycling in a land farm, or pelletizing as a fuel. However, I believe the ultimate use is to process the used, oil saturated MOP through the carbon negative low temperature pyrolysis system (extensively advocated by Interior Secretary Ken Salizar in the amendment he introduced in his former capacity as the U.S. Senator of Colorado for the U.S. Agricultural Bill of 2007 and 2008). Ken Salizar is fully aware of the benefits of Carbon Negative Bio-Char technology to extract the carbon from virtually any hydrocarbon, leaving a carbon free non-polluting, hydrogen-based fuel, with the extracted carbon serving as a soil amendment that boosts agricultural yields from 200% to 400% higher than comparable tilled and fertilized soil.

This carbon-based soil amendment, (commonly referred to as Bio-Char), is the ideal host to encourage proliferation of the indigenous anaerobic microbes that live in soil. The proliferation of anaerobic microbes changes the character of the soil in a manner that boosts agricultural yields from 200% to 400%. Anaerobic microbes breathe in carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen, helping to reverse global warming, while adding their inspired carbon to the soil. This soil improvement process is likely the only known natural process of its class that once started continues of its own accord, to further help reverse global warming, while boosting agricultural yields (equivalent to making more land).

This disposal option, when applied to the retrieved, oil saturated MOP, indeed offers a great benefit. However, when further extended to the full range of other hydrocarbons, representing up to 95% of the waste stream now headed to landfills, offers an abundant, hydrogen based, non-polluting, extremely low cost, alternative energy source. So, the MOP recovery system offers not only an answer to the Gulf Oil Spill, but also advocates a valuable alternative pathway to reducing our dependency on fossil fuels that has tied us to foreign imports and the depletion of our natural resources.

We are exceedingly proud of the environmental commitment of our Company and the sustainable line of products that we manufacture. Not only because MOP is the environmentally responsible alternative for cleaning up oil, but also because MOP is very low in cost, is deployed and retrieved very quickly and easily, and provides for recovery of the value of the oil it retrieves. I contend that the use of MOP Bulk Sorbent as the FIRST RESPONSE to an oil spill is the best option you have to neutralize all the potential harmful effects, both environmental and economic, of an oil spill such as you now have in the Gulf.

I wish to further cite the following evaluations of our MOP absorbent product, beginning with the evaluation by BP Safety Specialist Randall Fletcher, written in 1994, (copy attached).

"During four separate occasions we have had the opportunity to observe the MOP absorbent product’s performance. Three were hard surface spills of various hydrocarbon products (i.e. 30w oil, transmission fluid, heavy naphtha, diesel oil, and other blended heavy sop oils). On each occasion the absorbents picked up all of the products leaving no apparent residue. We mixed water at some sites and the hydrophobic properties allowed the absorbent to hold the products while allowing the water to run free and clean of oil."

Randall ended his letter by saying the following: "We are extremely pleased with its (Maximum Oil Pickup’s) performance and cost, and would recommend serious consideration of this product before using an alternative."

It is notable that in the, "Use Of Sorbents for Spill Response," Published in 2009 and Commissioned by the Maritime Affairs Directorate, and the French Navy, it was determined that bulk sorbents (such as MOP) are the choice for Weathered Emulsified Crude Oil which is the specific application in the Gulf. The study stated, ..."These products (bulk sorbents) can be used in a wide variety of situations, on land and on water. Their divided form gives them a large surface area which will come into contact with the pollutant, promoting their impregnation even if the pollutant forms a thin layer or scattered slicks, which may be difficult to access."

Furthermore, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency - National Service Center for Environmental Publications (NSCEP) recommends a priority for test of absorbents with a priority first from available and low-cost natural absorbents. Also stating "The natural sorbents are generally more readily available than the synthetics," (page 6 section 3) It is mentioned on page 25 Section 6, "One common factor among the sorbent types is that organic sorbents tend to have a greater sorption and retention capacity for organic rather than inorganic liquids." Sorbent Materials For Cleanup Of Hazardous Spills - Nepis.epa.gov (MOP Maximum Oil Pickup is the quintessential material that falls into this category).

Many communities in the Gulf region are looking to be proactive in combating the oil coming upon their shores. The community of Gulf Breeze, Florida is one community that has decided to take a proactive approach. Gulf Breeze, located in Florida’s panhandle, has purchased from MOP Environmental Solutions, Inc. "MOP 201 bulk loose sorbent." MOP 201 bulk sorbent is more than ten times as effective as booms for absorbing oil. Gulf Breeze has purchased MOP 201 to distribute to waterfront landowners to assist them in confronting the spill directly should it threaten their property. They have decided not to stand by and wait for assistance. We believe their independent choice of MOP Maximum Oil Pickup is clearly the best oil sorbent product to get the job done.

In 2008 The Society of Petroleum Engineers, arguably the most respected professional publication in the Petroleum industry covered MOP environmental Solutions’ Maximum Oil Pickup (MOP) in its official publication, the Journal of Petroleum Technology. MOP is unlike other bulk sorbents such as plastics that should not be used in open waters. The extreme advantages of patented MOP Maximum Oil Pickup over virtually every other sorbent demand its recognition for its exceedingly important role and for its advantages over virtually every other sorbent that is currently being used in the Gulf oil spill.

Is very pleased to announce it has received a Purchase Order from BP to send oil spill absorbent booms to the Gulf of Mexico for the ongoing oil spill clean up efforts. As per the Purchase Order, Mop Environmental will provide BP with three tractor trailer loads of booms to be shipped to the Hope Dale Site staging area in Saint Bernard, Louisiana.

Upon fulfillment, of this order additional deliveries are anticipated to continue on a weekly basis. With the present conditions in the Gulf we believe that BP will be looking to accept as much as we can provide.

Here’ is a quick detailing of the capabilities and characteristics of MOP’s ™201 & ™301 Sorbents

1. Meets EPA guidelines for certification as safe in open water. Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), sections 300.5 and 300.915(g) of the National Contingency Plan. Certification letter available.

2. Available in booms and loose sorbent (5lb and 20lb)

3. MOP's Sorbent has a pickup ration of 30-1, the highest in the industry.
This means that every pound of MOP sorbent will pick up 30 lbs of oil. A container load of 1000 bags of loose sorbent will pick up 75,000 gallons of oil. Our MOP Cannon that shoots out the sorbent can deliver a full container load onto the spill in 3 hours. Directly behind the cannon we follow with a weed skimmer that picks up the oil-laden sorbent in 4 hours.

4. MOP sorbent locks up the oil in its matrix and repels water.
It will not release that oil until it is squeezed. This means that even if oil-laden sorbent reaches land, the oil is locked up in its matrix and will lie harmless on the beach until it is scooped up using skimmers and even volunteers. In other words if the oil is contained inside the MOP sorbent, it will not harm the littoral ecosystem as oil will.

5. Up to 95% of the oil can be recoverable - cleaner than it was when spilled - from the oil-laden sorbent.
The sorbent actually filters the oil when it releases it by squeezing. Now we do not know how dispersants will affect our ability to recover the oil, but we have a backup process that uses pyrolysis to convert the oil-laden MOP into hydrogen based pyrolysis oil and bio-char fertilizer that will work even if we cannot recover the oil. Furthermore without removing the oil (if a decision is made for some reason not to try and recover the resource) Oil-laden MOP sorbent can be disposed in several environmentally sustainable ways including land farming and industrial composting. It can also be pelletized for incineration or burned as it is. Finally it can be put in a landfill, although this is the least preferred of all options. The important take-away from this is that in NO CIRCUMSTANCES does it need to be treated as a hazardous substance. It is a solid waste. (unless there are hazardous chemical in the oil from the dispersants).

6. MOP Sorbents are 100% recycled materials and fully biodegradable.
So for example, should a small amount wash up on the shore and be missed by the volunteers and cleanup crews, it will bioremediate the oil and naturally biodegrade.

7. Price Stability: The materials from which the MOP sorbent is made are classified by EPA as Recovered Materials - a very high priority item for EPA -
Recovered materials are recyclable materials that have no current pathway for commercial reuse. In other words, the transfer stations get this material in; it is recyclable; but they have no market for it. We can create a fairly large market for it. However, more important than that, this is a market where raw material prices will be very stable because we are the only ones using them. This means that while others are jacking up their prices for booms and sorbent, our prices will remain steady.

8. MOP Sorbent will NEVER sink - even when fully saturated with oil.
NOAA may have some sorbents that they are basing their judgment upon that do sink, we just can't know this, but the MOP sorbent will not sink. We have had a sample sitting on water here for more than 10 years. This means that fish and underwater habitat will not be harmed because MOP will never go below the surface. In high wind conditions MOP can be deployed beneath the surface of the water, it will immediately rise to the surface, capturing any oil with which it comes in contact. Once it reaches the surface, it will never sink.

9. MOP Environmental Solutions, Inc. RESCUE Soil Cleaning Process
MOPN has recently filed a provisional patent on a process that allows us to clean oil out of sand and soil on site and very quickly. While we pray that damage to beaches will be minimal, we are prepared and equipped to take on this challenge should it be necessary.

10. Loose Sorbent is the preferred Solution because of its Efficiency. We can, and will, put our sorbent into booms and make them available, but booms by their very nature are inefficient. 1 container of our loose MOP sorbent will lock up 75,000 of oil in 3 hours. It would take over 23,000 polypropylene boom to achieve the same level of cleanup. The cost of 1 container of loose sorbent is $55,000. The cost of 23,000 booms is over $850,000. Our own booms, filled with MOP sorbent are 4 times as effective as polypropylene booms but even using them it would require more than 5,000 booms to contain the same amount of spill.

11. Using MOP Loose Sorbent and Recovering the Oil May be Marginally Profitable. At the very least it dramatically reduces the cost. If 75,000 gallons of spilled oil can be retrieved and recycled at a below market cost, of $40/barrel for example, this creates a gross profit of $65,772. Less the cost of the container, the profit is 32,772 - enough to purchase the next container or to pay for the skimmer and oil extraction equipment rental.

12. Finally, just a dose of common sense. If the oil is approaching the shore, and there is no way to stop it, wouldn't it be better to lock it up in loose sorbent that you will be able to clean up because it is floating on top of the tide pools and sand, Than to simply let the oil come ashore and damage the ecosystems? If NOAA would even just allow us to save the fragile shoreline areas by spraying the sorbent only in these areas as they are threatened, it would do a world of good.

13. MOP ™301 Sorbent has Oil consuming bacteria that speed bioremediation. In a water spill environment MOP ™301 used from the shore out into the low tide zone will permit the oil consuming bacteria to assist in the bioremediation of any oil that is missed in the cleanup.

Regarding MOP Loose Sorbent Use on Open Water

The following paragraphs come from a MOP Environmental Solutions Release July 2008 that explains the complexities of the EPA process for determining whether a product can be used on open water. They will help understand the specific process used that permits MOP to Certify that the MOP sorbent is safe for use on open water.

1. EPA issues a letter of determination that a product meets the standards of Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), sections 300.5 and 300.915(g) of the National Contingency Plan.

2. MOP issues a Certification letter for the on-site coordinator, based on EPA's determination letter.

This certification enables MOP® Maximum Oil Pickup to be immediately used on site due to prior review by the EPA for any oil spill on land or water upon presentation of the authorized certification on our letterhead pursuant to the EPA review.

A Message from the President

It’s ironic how adversity so often carries the seeds of opportunity and hope. All of us are devastated by the scope and potentially disastrous effects of the spill in Louisiana. We pray the wellhead is capped soon to stop the spill from growing worse yet.

At the same time, the challenge of dealing with the oil spill has created a rare opportunity for MOP Environmental Solutions to demonstrate the power of our patented MOP 201 oil sorbent to a broad audience – one that is paying close attention.

I am grateful for the hundreds of emails and calls and letters from supporters, shareholders and friends, who have encouraged us to play a role in the solution to this massive problem.

Likewise I am mindful of those who have been constructive critics of some of our choices, often with the best of intentions. Every day I remind our team here at MOP Environmental Solutions that they need not be hurt by these criticisms because they are most often made by those who only want us to succeed on behalf of the company and the planet, but have found themselves on the side of the critics from time to time. Sometimes they will be fair criticisms and sometimes they will not, but they will always be worth considering. Especially when they are offered in the spirit of constructive dialog and engagement.

Of course, there are always those who will criticize simply because it is their nature. It’s usually pretty easy to distinguish who these folks are by the shrill tone of their comments and their black and white interpretations of dynamic and difficult choices.

I hope you’ll take the time to read this letter, in its entirety, so that you understand all of the steps we have been taking since our last update. Whether you agree or disagree with us, you will at least know that our goal - to paraphrase Justice Brandeis - is to let the sun shine in on the process, so that you are fully informed.

As you surely know by now, MOP 201 and 301 sorbents are the only oil spill pollution product on the planet that are green from cradle-to-cradle. . . manufactured with hydro-electric power, 100% recycled and natural materials and 100% biodegradable. We are very proud of this. From these patented products have sprung many other products that play an important part in sustainably addressing the broader challenges of hydrocarbon pollution and contamination.

Ironically, MOP’s effectiveness is one of its greatest challenges. It is easy to manufacture a cheap boom - for example - that must be disposed of as a hazardous waste and picks up only a small amount of oil, if no one pays attention to the over all effectiveness of the products.

On a pound for pound basis and on a cost per pound basis, MOP far out-performs every other sorbent around. But if decisions are made strictly on price without regard to efficiency; or if – as in this case – the government is restricting the amount of absorption as a way to control the weight of booms, we are challenged by how good the product is. This is a major challenge, but a challenge of which we can be proud. It is also a challenge we can meet while still maintaining a commitment to quality and sustainability.

Some of our friends and supporters have said to us, “don’t wait – put a container load on the road to Louisiana with one or two MOP cannons and force BP to use the product when you arrive.” After all they contend, “BP wrote a letter of endorsement for the product in the past, they should be held to their word.”

We even had one shareholder who came forward with an offer to cover the cost of production and shipping if we would do this. For those of you who are aware of the difficulties we have faced during the past year, successfully fighting to regain the company and to move forward, you will understand why this was a very tempting offer. While this individual later withdrew her commitment, we are grateful to her for causing us to examine our strategies on behalf of both the company and the planet. Her strategy may have been wrong, but her inclination to act and engage was spot on.

During the past two days we have been working diligently to respond to three separate “bid-requests” for large orders of booms for the Gulf coast. Had we shipped a container of the loose sorbent last week we would not have sufficient quantities of sorbent to fulfill these potential orders for much higher value-added products. As it is, the potential orders are large enough that we will only be able to service one of the three with our current available capacity. We felt that under the circumstances, the prudent business decision to make was to continue to negotiate on these requests, rather than take the risk that by sending a container, we would get an audience with the Coast Guard or BP. We believe VERY STRONGLY that at least one of these boom “bid-requests” will be shipped. However, we are aware that we are working in an environment where there are many unscrupulous players who do not deliver on their promises. We are being careful to do our due diligence regarding payment.

Additionally, we are in negotiations with two other companies to dramatically expand our production capacity. These are businesses that are NOT competitors but rather they are in the business of producing products that use similar lines of manufacturing equipment, thus creating an opportunity for us to be able to service two or possibly all three of these large bid-requests by subcontracting the excess production we need.

This is important to do for two reasons: First because, unfortunately, this spill will have a significant lifespan; and, second, because current negotiations with new distributorships in China, India, the Middle East, West Africa, Thailand and Malaysia will – once completed – create the need for added capacity, beyond the scope of the Gulf Oil spill.

We have NOT stopped working to get the Coast Guard to use our MOP sorbent directly. We still feel very strongly that the MOP sorbent is the ideal solution to the challenge of protecting the most fragile ecosystems and fisheries along the coastline.

We have made some significant progress in this area:

We were informed on Friday that MOP has been raised to the designation of a “Resource” by BP and the Coast Guard. This is not yet where we want to be, but it is a start. We are communicating daily with Command Central and with several friends and distributors in the Louisiana and Florida areas. They are standing by to go to the Command Center the moment we have an audience scheduled with BP, the Coast Guard or any state government willing to meet with us.

We will continue to keep our focus aimed like a laser on business practices that offer the best long-term hopes for growth and expansion of the MOP brand.

Let us all hold in our prayers all of God’s creatures that may potentially suffer from the calamity in the Gulf and pray this ends soon.

Cleans Oil Saturated Land in Minutes vs Years

MOP Environmental Solutions, Inc. (MOPN-pk) CEO, Charles Diamond today announced the filing of a Provisional Patent for a new technology providing fast, low-cost, on-site, remediation of even the most recalcitrant oil spills on land.

Deigned “MOP® RESCUE™ an acronym for Maximum Oil Pickup – Rapid Environmental Spill, Clean Up & Elimination”, Diamond expressed the belief that “the application represents what is an important step in a process that looks to move the oil spill remediation industry toward sustainability.”

“We now accomplish in minutes what otherwise took months or years. I believe this will completely shift the existing paradigm for clean up of land-based oil spills to our new, on-site, ultra-fast, low-cost process,” said Diamond.

“Until now, fast, on-site remediation of large land-based spills were exceedingly costly and impractical, leaving the choice of heavy fines for abandonment or costly removal of the contaminated soil for transport to a hazardous waste facility and replacement with clean soil.”

Diamond further states: “ in addition to providing a highly effective rapid response method for today’s spills. our MOP® RESCUE™ process is also the answer for fast, low cost recovery of vast areas of already abandoned oil contaminated lands.”

Profitable Oil Recovery:
“The MOP® RESCUE™ process will substantially offset the usual cost of remediation where a large quantity of oil is still present, since up to 95% of the oil is recoverable in a marketable form,” Diamond points out. “Furthermore, when combined with our Negative Carbon Biomass Energy Systems™ we see enormous potential for creating small power plants and oil harvesting machinery around the process.”

A Green Solution to a Nasty Problem:
“We obviously have more work to do beyond our pilot models, made to demonstrate and prove the MOP® RESCUE™ process. I believe we are now ready to pilot the first commercial size models which can be made with modifications to currently available, large, full scale equipment.” according to Diamond.

The agreement with Ecuador-based APDProyectos Cia. Ltda. is expected to generate substantial sales of MOP® sorbent and products as well as consulting and service opportunities for both companies in the oil rich countries.

In January, Executives from APDProyectos Cia Ltda visited Bath, NH, where the MOPN plant is based. They were shown our newest oil-contaminated-soil cleanup equipment in action. whereby the equipment RAPIDLY; REMOVED the oil, CLEANED the soil, and RECOVERED the oil, from the oil saturated soil (successfully demonstrating the application from sand to heavily organic potting soil).

The MOP®-RESCUE™ (Rapid Environmental Spill Clean Up Equipment) demonstrated that it rapidly remediates oil contaminated soil, to an apparently oil free state in under 10 minutes.
